A publication featuring tips, tricks, and news about urban farming on the east coast of the United States

I used a modular layout for this magazine because of the nature of urban farming. One of the biggest challenges for these farmers is simply finding the space to grow things. The solution to this is often carefully mapped out rows or creative container systems. I decided to use that concept to my advantage when developing my overall concept for this publication.

The most impactful thing I learned from this project was about the visual design’s relation to the content. My earlier concept ideas did not take that into consideration and felt very generic as a result. I found that mirroring the content in the design amplifies the entire product.
