Capstone project created for and featured in George Mason University’s Spring 2022 Senior Art and Design Show

Enjoying the Story is the result of a semester-long course intended to determine if students are ready to graduate from George Mason University’s Art and Visual Technology program. Throughout the semester, we were required to propose our own topics, create our own timelines, and participate in setting up an exhibition when the projects were complete.

The final two years of my BFA in graphic design took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. While I have always loved the outdoors, being in nature became a much-needed escape for me during that period. I wanted to honor that with my thesis project. I greatly enjoyed the chance to work on something I feel so passionately about, but that personal connection came with challenges as well. I discuss this further in the process book that accompanied the rest of my project at the exhibition.
